I’ve seen ads for this event everywhere. Tonight is the second of five parts, all about antarctic scientists sharing their knowledge through art. Seems an odd combo, but I’m a fan. Tonight is the film portion. You can come watch films about different Antarctic discoveries and then have a conversation with the scientists themselves! Stay tuned for more Antarctic Perspectives!

Here comes another Stumptown Stories hosted by our very own Kick-Ass Oregon History. This week you can learn about all those criminals that broke out of our jails. I have to admit I know nothing of the subject. Perhaps we can learn a few tips for whenever we end up in jail.

Kick-Ass Oregon History (ass-Oregon) proudly presents a night on the famous gigantic caveman: Bigfoot! Looks like you can listen to their two podcasts before-hand or you can just show up to the Jack London Bar, order a drink and listen. It gets pretty crowded in there, so I suggest you show up early! 




$5 suggested donation Mission Theater 7pm; doors 5pm


Is it just me or do you now have “Walking on Sunshine! heyyyy hey!” stuck in your head? Well, I guess now you do. Muhahaha. Any case, tonight is the next Science Pub and this one has to do with “The Intersection of our Electrical Grid, Solar Power, and Electric Vehicles”. Basically if you’re curious how solar and electric power can be harnessed effectively, then come on down to the Mission Theater and learn your ass off! 


Note: Get there early for seats!!

Or back in town since it’s been renovated. Also there’s been events going on all weekend, but it’s not to late to catch the tail end! There’s Crafty Underdog today at the Bobwhite Theater where you can check out awesome local craftsmen and artist and then you can listen to talk from Kick Ass Oregon History at 4pm! If you want to stick around for the band Chervona at 6pm, I believe it costs $10. So, show up early!  return home
